Boarding

Burlington Farm offers a unique boarding experience with our "Elite" Co-Op!

Up to nine (9) very lucky horses (and their owners) share eleven (11) grassy pastures, and indoor arena with mirrors, music, and very good sand/rubber footing, and an outdoor sand arena that was just totally renovated two years ago and that drains extremely well. These up to nine horses are the only horses on the farm!

The Co-Op has its own Co-Op Manager. The Manager provides the boarders with full-time, highly experienced groom care, evening night check, and optional group ordering of shavings, hay, and grain - this is what makes our Co-Op "Elite" and also unique.

Here is what an "Elite" Co-Op boarder is provided with by Burlington Farm:

  • A stall for his/her horse in the Main Barn;
  • 11 grassy turnout pastures;
  • Electricity;
  • Water in barn and in fields;
  • An additional stall (at no additional charge) to store feed, hay, shavings in;
  • Full use of the indoor arena and the outdoor arena which adjoins the indoor arena;
  • Garbage dumpster;
  • Use of Observation Room;
  • Arena dragging on a daily basis (weather permitting for outdoor arena);
  • Fence repair;
  • Manure dumpster;
  • Pasture mowing and weed whacking;
  • Driveway maintenance;
  • Snow plowing, when necessary;
  • Use of toilet in Main House;
  • Free trailer parking (with signed Trailer Liability Waiver).

Main Barn

A lockable main tack room is available as well as multiple grooming stalls and both indoor and outdoor wash areas.

In the summer there are fans overhead (in the Main Barn) and individual stall fans to keep your horse cool and comfortable.

With a spacious, well lit, indoor arena and an outdoor arena, there are plenty of places to ride and train. Both the indoor arena and the outdoor jumping arena have Surefoot Rubber Footing mixed with sand.

All arenas are dragged every day (weather permitting) using our six foot wide Parma Arena Groomer. Parma Arena Groomers have been proven in arenas and tracks all over the USA for all events that require good footing. The ability of this arena groomer to prepare the footing as well as condition the top surface in one pass can improve the performance of the horses that use the arenas and save stress on horse's legs at the same time.

In addition to the barn checks, the farm has a 24-hour video surveillance system that is monitored from the main house and accessible from three different computers. This system shows live feeds from multiple cameras (starting with the upper left hand image and going clockwise) the Outdoor Jump Arena, the Indoor arena, the back of the Main House, the dressage arena and main driveway, the back pastures, and the Main Barn aisle. Most of the cameras can be "panned and zoomed"..

If you want to show your horse, Burlington Farm is within walking/riding distance of The East Freehold Show Grounds (see aerial photo below). Burlington Farm is located at the Red Balloon with "A" on it. The East Freehold Showgrounds are located at the bottom of the photo on the left, about one half mile from the farm. The Monmouth County Horse Show Association, The Central Jersey Horseman's Association, and CJL Farms hold shows there in the Spring, Summer and Fall. The Horse Park of New Jersey also offers both hunter/jumper and dressage shows and their show Grounds are about twenty-five minutes away.
